2. To better design our website. We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website. For example, we may be able to tell that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
3. Email address, location, and name of users who self-select to be added to mailing lists (including mailing lists for church staff) will be shared with selected members of the www.SoulRevolution.net staff to enable sending of information about other Soul Revolution materials, and announcements when other users invite you to a community or follow-up to one of your mini-blog posts. 4. To provide user-generated content to other website users. User-generated content you write (such as comments, blog posts, forum posts, etc.) will be visible to other site visitors unless you choose to make it private. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

Guiding Principles / Terms of Use
Last modified September 5, 2008
Overall, we ask that while you are using the website, you would conduct yourself in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ (Philippians 1:27). The website administrators and developers seek to treat you, as a user, in a similar fashion. Where relevant, Scripture references to guiding principles are included in the general terms of use listed below.
1. Membership. By using the website, you signify that you are age 13 or over and that you agree to the terms of use. We reserve the right to change the terms of use at any time (we will post the most recent modification date here). We also reserve the right to end your membership at any time, at our discretion. Membership is open to any individual over age 13, whether that person considers themselves to be a Christ-Follower or not. Membership is not allowed where prohibited by law.
2. Site Content Rights. Site design and content is copyrighted by www.SoulRevolution.net, a ministry of Gateway Church in Austin, Texas. You agree to not copy, distribute, or sell any of this content (excluding things you contribute yourself). You are welcome to print copies of spiritual growth tools for personal use, or use by church or ministry groups, providing the website address (URL) and copyright info remains intact. You cannot re-post or copy that information to any other website. You can print copies of user-generated content for your own use, but out of respect for other users, we ask that you don't print copies of their mini-blogs or posts (to maintain their intended level of privacy). If you'd like to reproduce content for use in a church service or publication, please contact us to discuss options.
3. User Conduct. You understand that this site is available for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree to conduct yourself in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ (Philippians 1:27). Conducting yourself in this way includes things such as:
- Not infringing on the rights of others, including copyright.
- Not posting anything unlawful, soliciting (such as spam), private (such as contact info for a third party), advertisements, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, vulgar, or otherwise offensive. Content that is deemed, by us, to be inappropriate will be removed from the site (you may be given an opportunity to modify the content before it is deleted entirely).
- Not using any means to disable the website.
- Treating others with respect, showing them love similar to the love Christ has for us (John 13:34). Remember that website users come from diverse backgrounds, and some are still trying to figure out what they believe. Please show them respect and loving care.
- While posting about "negative" emotions and about tough situations like recovery or abuse is allowed, you will label items with an appropriate rating (G/PG/R - like a movie), especially since this relates to not becoming a "stumbling block" (1 Corinthians 8:9) to those who are weaker. Remember that discussions of personal issues, particularly sins, can be tough conversations, so rate your items accordingly.
4. User Content. You are solely responsible for the content you post on the site. You won't post anything you don't have permission to share. You will be wise regarding appropriate level of disclosure regarding personal situations, particularly those involving third-parties (imagine how you'd feel if the person you write about found your submission). You will refrain from mentioning names of third-parties when talking about conflict or complaint, instead doing all you can to resolve conflict in a healthy manner (Matthew 18:15-19). While it may be appropriate to talk about how you're dealing with conflict, we ask that you not mention names or situations with too much detail, but instead go "just between the two of you" to address conflict in person (imagine how you'd feel if you opened somebody else's mini-blog and found them complaining about you!). You also understand that the Soul Revolution mini-blogs are intended for users to share their own experiences with doing life with God moment-by-moment and are not intended for harsh criticism or theological debate. You understand that site moderators may remove items you post, if deemed inappropriate in some way.
5. Links to Other Websites. Links are provided as a convenience to you, the user. Links to shopping sites (such as Amazon.com) are provided as a tool for those who would like to purchase additional resources. In all you do, whether it be shopping online or anything else, we ask that you do it for the Glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31), being a good steward of your resources. If you find a link that seems inappropriate, please contact us. You are only permitted to enter websites in the user profile section. Links to websites or email addresses in your other posts will be removed.
6. Church & Ministry Groups. Ministry groups that create communities on the website will agree to a basic statement of faith (to be posted later). If you think a ministry or church group included on the site should be removed, contact us with an explanation of the problem.
7. Passwords & Site Access. You will keep your password confidential and will not give other people access to your account.
8. Confidentiality. You will maintain appropriate confidentiality with the other users you get to know, particularly maintaining confidentiality regarding items they post and choose only to share with selected members of their communities.
